We welcome CALLUM SMART and RICHARD UTTLEY to Concerts in the West. CALLUM SMART is quickly developing an international reputation as one of Britain’s finest young violinists and an innovative teacher at the Royal Northern College of Music and on Instagram. RICHARD UTTLEY studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Clare College, Cambridge, and the Guildhall School.

We welcome back FENELLA HUMPHREYS, CARA BERRIDGE and LIBBY BURGESS. FENELLA HUMPHREYS, winner of the 2018 BBC Music Magazine Instrumental Award, has won critical admiration and audience acclaim with the grace and intensity of her playing. CARA BERRIDGE is a founder member of the Sacconi Quartet who has won prizes at many International competitions and has performed at all the major London venues. With a repertoire ranging from Elizabethan Virginal music to the works of living composers, LIBBY BURGESS enjoys a chamber and solo career and organises the New Paths and Chamber Music festivals in Beverley.

We welcome back the JUBILEE QUARTET. Originally formed in 2006, the Jubilee Quartet is now made up of four musicians from across the globe. Each member of the quartet brings their unique sense of cultural identity to the group. The quartet has received glowing reviews for its debut recording of three Haydn quartets released in 2019 on Rubicon Classics and were winners of the First Prize at the Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award in September 2019.

We welcome NAOMI BURRELL, GAVIN KIBBLE and DAVID GERRARD. NAOMI BURRELL enjoys a diverse career with a specialism in historical performance. GAVIN KIBBLE studied first at Oxford and then at the Royal Academy of Music. DAVID GERRARD performs on the harpsichord, clavichord, fortepiano and organ.
